Privacy Policy

UpSpace Studio ("UpSpace", "we", "us") operates the website at upspace.lovable.app and provides web design and development services from Port Louis, Mauritius. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Account data — name, email, and password hash when you sign up for a client portal account.
• Contact submissions — the name, email, and message you send through our contact form or newsletter.
• Billing data — invoices and payment status. Card details are processed by Stripe and never stored on our servers.
• Usage data — anonymised pageviews, referrers, and device info via Google Analytics and Meta Pixel (when enabled).

2. How we use it

• To deliver design and development work you've engaged us for.
• To send project updates, invoices, and (if you opted in) field-note newsletters.
• To respond to enquiries and support requests.
• To improve the website and detect abuse.

3. Sharing

We share the minimum data required with vetted processors: Supabase (database & auth), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Slack (internal notifications), Google Analytics and Meta (analytics, when enabled). We never sell personal data.

4. Retention

Client and billing records are kept for the duration of the engagement and up to 7 years afterwards to meet accounting obligations. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe. You can request deletion at any time.

5. Your rights

You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data by emailing shri@upspacemail.com. EU/UK visitors have rights under GDPR; Mauritian residents have rights under the Data Protection Act 2017.

6. Cookies

We use strictly-necessary cookies for authentication and, when enabled, analytics cookies from Google and Meta. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser at any time.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is limited to authorised UpSpace staff.
